DIY Window Regulator Repairs — Hyundai Kits for Affordable Fixes

Tucson TL DIY car door window regulator kits for repairs

Hyundai is back at it again with the popular TL Tucson, but with some flawed window regulator parts causing door operation failure. With the window regulator being mounted on a sizable plate, it can make transit, repairs, and purchase of a whole new unit quite costly — but this is where our kits come in. In compact packaging, we can supply you with all the replaceable parts you need to repair the unit yourself, along with video demos found on our YouTube channel to guide you through the process! When you receive the kit, a QR code can also be found on the label of the packaging that'll link you to the relevant video guides.

Common Hyundai Window Regulator Failures

Typically when your Hyundai i30 or Tucson regulator fails, you'll find that the cables have been damaged, along with the cable drum. Some models can even have the slide which holds the glass fail, as the original design experiences wear over time. Our kits supply all the necessary parts needed to do a complete window regulator repair:

  • New cables

  • New springs

  • New cable drum (in applicable kits)

  • New slides (in applicable kits)

These parts give the unit a fresh reset on its lifespan with some improvements on original design (note: these kits do not address motor issues). All kit contents are displayed on their respective store pages to clearly see what you'll be receiving with your purchase.

Important Note for TL Tucson Owners

Take extra care when ordering a Hyundai Tucson TL kit however, as there are TWO DIFFERENT manufacturers for the window regulators — One is a Czech build while the other is a Korean build. We have included visual identification guides on their respective product pages but we'll also include it below:

Installation Care Notes

While fitting one of our kits, it's absolutely imperative that you LUBRICATE the rails and motor housing that the cable drum sits into. This dramatically increases the lifespan of a regulator as all parts experiencing friction can cause wear. Also finish up by lubricating the bailey channels in your car doors with Silicon Spray, to ensure the glass puts the least amount of load on your window regulator.
